What is a keystone module? Bachmann custom modules
What is a keystone module? Keystone modules (connection modules) can be defined as a modular connection system for video, audio and network connections, with a wide range of connectors (so-called jacks). The connectors are largely standardized and enable electrical or optical signal transmission. In addition to RJ45 jacks for networks, HDMI, USB or SAT jacks for multimedia applications are also available as keystone modules.
What are the advantages of Keystone modules?
Keystones impress with their high flexibility, versatility and ease of installation. Various connection types, such as e.g. A LAN and USB connection, for example, can be combined in one connection socket and used in parallel. This saves space, costs and brings structure to the cabling. The modules can be easily exchanged, which means that they are future-proof, and meet individual requirements for data, video and audio connections quickly and easily.
Thanks to their standardized dimensions, they can be fitted in standard holders such as e.g. B. Install keystone frames, empty sockets or patch panels. The installation takes place almost completely without tools, since the keystones are equipped with a click system. The tool-free snap-in assembly saves time thanks to the snap-in function.
Where are keystones used?
Thanks to its modularity, keystone technology can be used almost anywhere. Be it in private households, offices, workshops, hotels, data centers (racks, distribution cabinets, patch panels) or electrical installations and smart home technology.
Which Keystone modules are there?
The variety of keystones grows with network and media technology. For example, the following keystones are currently available: CAT6A / RJ45 (socket / socket, patch cable plug / socket), ISDN, HDMI 2.0, mini display port, 3.5 mm mini jack, USB-A, USB-B, USB-C and fiber optic
Bachmann Keystones – individual solutions through custom modules
Many of Bachmann's socket strips and connector panels have empty panels into which custom modules can be integrated. A custom module consists of a keystone frame (chassis) for recording and a keystone module. Bachmann offers both pre-configured custom modules and the option of assembling custom modules yourself. The preconfigured sets each consist of a keystone frame and a module and range from blind covers to jacks with audio, data connections (e.g. USB, FireWire), USB chargers and cable bushings. Alternatively, you can combine everything yourself.
Assemble desk connection panels individually with keystones
The majority of Bachmann's multiple sockets have so-called empty fields. The empty fields are individually occupied with custom modules (keystones) and installed on the table as table connection fields. The Bachmann Keystones implement configurations for every requirement for media technology and network connections. The standardized connection elements, such as USB-C, cinch, HDMI connections, (mini) jack, VGA, CAT, RJ45 or power, can be installed by snapping them into keystone frames designed for this purpose. Thanks to its design, the custom module is highly flexible and can be installed in almost all Bachmann socket strips without special tools. Among other things, the Bachmann table connection panels Venid, Conference, Top Frame, Coni, Coni Duo, Coneo, Power Frame, Kapsa, Due, Pix, Lift, Desk 2, Desk Rail and Desk 1 as well as in the Step and Universal socket strips offer these empty panels for the individual assembly. The individually configurable socket strips, some of which can be lowered into the table at the push of a button, are used, for example, in hotel conference rooms, on desks in offices and in the kitchen or bathroom in private living spaces. "Whether in the field of network installation, industry or home entertainment, the Keystone modules can be used universally. The Keystone frames and custom modules from Bachmann offer the user maximum performance and quality,” explains Dipl.-Inf. Steffen Groth from BTS Business Trading Shops GmbH.
